For a client we did a funny group shot. This pic is just a trial, and the real photo you will find in magazines, with some politicians claiming diversity. Hence the bags. I always first shoot with co-worker models, so, when the high profile models/politicians come everything is prepared so we won't take too much time for photography.

Did it again. One whole day of shooting portraits on location. At the client's location we built a studio with light on the background making this intimate cirkel effect. The light on the portrayed persons was quite flattering, so I could focus on posing and expressions. From every person I made about 15-20 shots, and we chose the best one together with the portrayed person. This way the coworkers feel valued, and they always feel better after the shoot, having seen that a professional photographer can make you even look better then imagined by yourself!

For this assignment I traveled to Leuven University. This scientist, specialized in sports, gambling, corruption and I don't know what, would wait for me at the university buildings. As I knew the subject I asked him to take a football with him. I traveled by train and took a Blue Bike so we good bike around and look for fitting surroundings. Coming at the university I saw nothing inspiring, except for this green glass entrance to the underground parking. I gave me associations with sports, green lawns, soccer, and fonds, treasures, or whatever. So we decided to just make the portraits there, with a little mobile flashlight, and there it was. The perfect setting!

For a Dutch humanist magazine I had to portray this writer and philospher at his home. In just a few minutes we had the right atmoshpere and lighting in his cozy study to make formal portraits and laugh a little. In the end this was the best picture.

It was just a while ago that I had this assignment for an Italian firm. They organised an event in their shop at Louisa (the high class fashion district) and asked me to run around and do street-photography-style fashion shots of their VIP clients.
Every guest received a portrait that was printed on the spot.
Not every VIP guest wanted to be photographed in their new outfit, but with my 'white collar charm and smile' I could convince most of them that it was a once in a life-time opportunity to get a great portrait by a professional photographer for FREE.
And all of them were quite happily surprised by the results.

Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a little but this was a fun assignment. Though we had to stand in heavy traffic on Rondpoint Schuman (the very heart of the European Area in Brussels) and the art director had to act as an assistant, holding my flash up straight against the heavy winds. In the end a great shot came out, with moving traffic in the background, just as they wanted.

This was a nice job, as I may say. The client needed headshots of all coworkers, and maybe a group picture too. After visiting their offices I told them the headshots were no problem, but shooting a large group of 50 people in such a small space with low ceilings could be a problem.
I proposed to shoot the individual headshots, and shoot small group pictures in the same room. These groups were manipulated into one long group, but it was to long for the banner, so in the we came up with this image, fitting their homepage. The black and white choice was mine to, so no styling or make up had to be done, and it makes just a great diverse but professional group of consultants, don't you think?
